We can send our staff to contact you in other places like: Airport or bus station at the city of Villa Hermosa, Frontera Corozal in the Lacandon jungle border with Guatemala, Frontera La Mesilla and Palenque city, in these cases we do changes in the schedule of the programs without to affect the visits and activities.

It is possible to start the services in Tuxtla Gutierrez and finish them also there?
Yes, it is possible to start the services in this city and to finish them also there. In this case we do changes in the schedule of the programs without to affect the visits and activities, this give the benefit to the clients to profit of certain discounts or special prices of flight tickets.

It is expensive to travel to Chiapas?
No, really it is not expensive, as there are different options in prices and services (Chiapas is for all people) even taking the services with hotels of 4 or 5 stars the prices are accessible as you can see the rates.

It is possible to buy just services without the hotels?
Yes, it is possible, in this case you book the hotel service you want, usually the prices will be higher specially in the hotels 5 or 4 stars, 3 stars and economic class they have a very accessible rate, in any case we can help you.

If I don't want the meals included in the package it costs the same?
No. in this case we discount this concept and you pay less and you will pay directly at the restaurants and hotels.

It is dangerous to visit Chiapas in the rainy season because the hurricanes?
No, in reality the affected zone is the Pacific coast, normally the tourist route and where the visitors come and stay like: Tuxtla Gutierrez, high lands, San Cristobal de las Casas, Lacandon jungle, Ocote jungle are not affected just there is more rain but allows us to do the activities.

Because of the rains there is the risk of cancelled flights?
It is possible, but the new airport was planned and built in a zone where there are not problems of mist but for the reason of rain the flight can arrive late.

¿ It is dangerous to visit Chiapas because of the Zapatista guerrilla (EZLN)?
No, in Chiapas we are not living in the middle of the war, the struggle of the Zapatistas and the Government doesn't affect the tourist activities in the State and never have done harm to the tourist and civil populations. The Zapatista movement is not any more an armed conflict, now it is social - politic movement but not interfere with the daily life of the inhabitants of Chiapas.

what kind of documents I must to carry on for the travel?
As we are close with the border of Guatemala, there are different military controls, where sometimes they ask you the following documents: If you are Mexican, an official identification, if you are foreigner, passport, visa or both.

What kind of vaccinations I must to apply myself before to come?
There are different kind of illnesses  that are common in the tropical  areas, we can not to prevent some of them like dengue, some others it is possible to prevent like: tetanus and malaria etc. applying vaccinations or having pills according the case. In Chiapas we very few, isolated cases of dengue and malaria between the inhabitants specially in the tropical areas as the authorities in Mexico have an strict control using health programs in order to protect the population against these illnesses. Consult your Doctor before to come in order to know what kind of vaccinations you must to apply,

what kind of danger we can find in the jungle?
The only danger we can find, are the poisonous serpents but it is very rare to find one of them, in general they are of nocturnal habits and during the day are resting and sleeping behind the trunks and stones or in places with a lot of fallen leaves, in order to avoid a bide is necessary to watch out where we are walking as they attack when we step on them, in the case of a bide there are serums to neutralize the poison. In the 25 years that we do these visits to the jungle never we have had an incident with serpents, for our safety we can carry on a pair of high boots.

What kind of animals we can see during the tours?
With a little bit of chance and patience we can see some of them, as they live in their natural environment and we must to imagine that they are not going to be there like in a zoo, but it is possible to see species of birds, howler monkeys, spider monkeys, parrots, woodpeckers, eagles etc.

How is the climate in the jungle?
The climate is hot with humidity of 80 - 90 per cent and there are 3 climatic seasons, 1).- dry season from March to May with 25 - 40 centigrade with some sporadic rains. 2).- rainy season from June to October with 20 - 35 centigrade with a lot of rain at the afternoon or night.
3).- winter time from December to February with 13 - 25 centigrade with some cold nights.

It is truth that rains a lot in the jungle?
Yes, the average of rain is from 2 to 5 meters that is the reason there are a lot of plentiful rivers, brooks, lakes and an exuberant vegetation.

The rain avoid the visits and activities?
No. in general rains at the afternoon and occasionally in the morning, very sporadic the full day, also in the high lands rains a lot but it doesn't avoid the visits and activities, please get a plastic rain coat.

Do I need experience to make any tour?
No, these are not extreme activities, these tours are designed for persons who like to be in contact with the nature and local people, in the case of the conventional tours, the physical effort is light and in the eco tours and expedition it is moderated.

What I must to carry on for the tours?
We recommend to carry on clothe for cold climate specially in winter time, for hot climate as we are in the different areas of the State, this for the conventional tours and packages.
For the eco tours and expeditions, clothe to use during the activities in the rivers for the contact with the water, short and long pants, 2 0r 3 t shirts, at least one with long sleeves to be protected against the mosquitoes or sun rays, proper shoes or old tennis or boots to walk into the water or mud, a pair of sandals with straps.
Equipment: a hand flash light with AA extra batteries, a Swiss pocket knife, tooth brush, biologic soap, towel, binoculars, video camera, photos camera, it is not necessary to bring sleeping bag or tent or knife Rambo style or military  boots.

At what age we can participate in a tour, eco tour or an expedition?
In the conventional tours some clients have travelled with babies, in the eco tours with not long walks with children of 6 or 8 years, and in the expeditions it is recommended to have more than 15 years old

What kind of shoes is recommended to carry on?
For walking in the jungle, rivers, brooks and lakes, it is recommended to use closed special shoes for the water or a pair of old tennis closed by straps.

What kind of food is provided in the tours?
In the conventional tours the meals are going to be the most representative of the state in specialized restaurants, in the eco tours the meals are a fixed menu and it is food prepared by the people of the communities and we eat what they eat in the region, meat, fish, chicken, vegetables, rice, beans etc. in the expeditions the food is energetic and food easy to prepare, if you are vegetarian please tell as in order to look for other options.

What kind of lodge is offered in the tours?
In the conventional tours the hotels are 3, 4 or 5 stars or special class, according the quality of hotel you require specially in the cities, in the jungle the lodge is in cottages, rustic cabins or in camping, we find these services with the families that live in the natural reserves and are attended by themselves, don't imagine great hotels like resorts but this cottages en cabins are clean, also we sleep in tents in the places where there is not cabins, nor cottages.

How many persons are integrated in the groups?
In the conventional packages the services are guaranteed with the minimum of 2 persons but the groups are formed by  4, 6, 12, 14, 20 persons maximum, never big groups, there are times when there is not more clients and the services are provided in an automobile just for 2 persons, in the case of the eco tours and expeditions, we guarantee the services with the minimum of 4 people forming groups of 12 and 16 persons maximum.

If I am just one person who want to travel, what can I do?
If you travel alone and want a conventional package, contact us to get information in which dates are possible that you can join in a tour, if you are interested in an eco tour or expedition and travel alone or in a couple, also we can inform you if we have persons interested in the same services you want, as this services are provided with minimum 4 people.

What do I have to do to book?
Already convinced that you want to visit this beautiful State, in order to book we required the payment of the 50% of the total amount of the rate service one week before and you can pay the other 50% when you arrive to the state of Chiapas (read general information and conditions)

Can I pay with credit cards?
Yes! It is possible to pay with credit cards, master card or visa.

What others forms to pay there are?
You can make a bank transfer, Bank deposit sending us the ticket by fax or e-mail, deposit by Pay pal.

How I can arrive to Tuxtla Gutierrez Chiapas?
